Minneapolis and Saint Paul, the USA’s least stressful cities to live in

According to bestplaces.net’s study done, Minneapolis and Saint Paul are the least stressful cities to live in. There is everything you could ask for in these cities. The outdoors? Check. Metropolitan area? Check. Performing arts events? Check. Cultured people? Check. All in two cities.

The Twin Cities in itself have great Parks and Recreation departments that tends to the many lakes within the two cities. It allows people to fish, walk, and enjoy the lake to their fullest. Not only is there green space, there is a great metropolitan feel to the cities. In downtown Minneapolis there are two parts, Downtown West and Downtown East. In Downtown West, there are all the skyscrapers and famous buildings like the Foshay Tower that was modeled after the Washington Monument. In Downtown West there is also the Nicollet Mall that includes a lot of shopping and dining that is considered the “culture and heart” of the city. In Downtown East, there is the historic mill district which includes a lot of historic flour mills from when Minneapolis was the flour milling capital of the world.

Every weekend there is bound to be some sort of event happening, varying from a dance performance, poetry slam, to a famous artist touring in the cities. In Minneapolis there is the famous First Avenue music venue that has held musical artists like Prince, The Replacements, Atmosphere, and more. Saint Paul has a great jazz club called Artists’ Quarter that many famous jazz artists have come through to perform. The Twin Cities always have some music event occurring each weekend that’ll allow you to enjoy the talent that comes through these cities.

There is a lot of culture and history wrapped around these two cities that let the residents enjoy it to the fullest. Plus, the people here are “Minnesota nice“.
